The Portland Civic Theatre Guild 2018-2019 Season includes new plays by local playwrights, contemporary scripts from Broadway, old favorites, a musical and even a vintage Holiday Radio Hour-Take a look!
October 2 Foxfire by Susan Cooper and Hume Cronyn This love story with songs, originally written for Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy, illuminates themes of then and now, holding on and letting go, living and dying.
November 6 Grand Junction by Portland playwright Rich Rubin A comedy-drama about sisters, new beginnings and pie. Finalist for the 2018 Portland Civic Theatre Guild New Play Award.
December 4 Holiday Radio Hour! with the Willamette Radio Workshop Welcome back the Willamette Radio Workshop as they once again usher in the spirit of the holidays with a selection of stories presented in the style of an old time radio show. Laughter, tears, and sound effects!
A Guild After Dark Selection-additional performance Monday night December 3 at 7:30 pm, tickets $15.
January 26 (Saturday!) Winner of the Portland Civic Theatre Guild New Play Award
PCTG will present a reading of their New Play Award winning script from a Portland area playwright as part of Fertile Ground: A City Wide Festival of New Works.

February 5 The Belle of Amherst by William Luce Using original poems, diary entries, and letters this one woman play offers a glimpse into the complex and isolated life of Emily Dickinson, one of the world’s most prolific and admired poets.
March 5 Disgraced by Ayad Akhtar The personal relationships of two couples implode when the off limits subjects of politics and religion overwhelm a polite dinner party.
April 2 Good People by David Lindsay-Abaire A tough and tender play about the insurmountable class divide between those who make it and those who find themselves left behind in today’s tough economic climate.
May 7 A Musical Treat Directed by Adair Chappell Once again, the “dessert” of the season! A delightful and dynamic performance by some of Portland’s finest musical stars!
