John Ellingson, our 2016 Fulton Fellowship recipient gave a great report on his trip to Great Britain to study puppetry. He stayed a month, from July 11 to August 11. In essence, John felt that this journey was a watershed moment in his art, and as a result, an entire new series of productions at Northwest Children’s Theatre, centered on a company of bird puppets created by John called The Starlings, will be featured in each NWCT season. Last year’s Sleeping Beauty With Puppets was the inaugural production. John thanked the Guild profusely for this opportunity.
